What’s New With The Iguana User Conference 2016

In case you haven’t been to our website lately or don’t follow us on our social sites like LinkedIn and Twitter, we’ve been promoting this little thing we put on in September (21st-22nd) called the Iguana User Conference.

Actually, it’s not so little. 2016 will be the fourth year of the conference and with each year comes some new changes and surprises to make things even better for you. Before I get into that, here’s some background about the conference.

The Iguana User Conference is our yearly event for customers and users of Iguana. It’s two days of learning that focuses on getting the most out of Iguana 6. By attending the conference you’ll come away with:

  • Actionable tips and tricks that’ll make your jobs a little easier
  • Innovative ideas that will encourage you to “play” with Iguana; taking your integration projects to a new level and possibly helping you advance your career
  • Valuable connections with fellow Iguana super-users who’ll also be a great resource for problem-solving and knowledge sharing

Now that you have a general sense of what the Iguana User Conference is about here’s what’s happening:

A taste of our topics

We’ve launched a monthly webinar series! The topics were chosen so that we can immediately help you get the most out of using Iguana while piquing your interest to the Iguana User Conference.

The webinars are kept short (under 30 minutes) since we’ll be exploring these topics in-depth in September. In March, we talked about our Iguana Repositories while in April, we gave you four tips on Integration Design Best Practices. This month (May), we’ll be delving into how Iguana 6 makes building interfaces easier.

An event app

Each year we get feedback from attendees that they’d like to more networking and an easier way to connect with each other. This year we’re going to make that happen.

Along with our welcome reception on the 20th of September, dinner on the 21st and lunchtime trivia, we’ve also developed an Iguana User Conference social app. The app allows attendees to interact with our staff as well as connect with each other; so bring on those selfies!

CN Tower dinner

Part of going to a conference also means exploring the city that it’s being hosted in. This year, in celebration of launching Iguana 6 as well as in celebration of you, our loyal Iguana-fans, we’re holding our dinner at Horizons at the CN Tower. This is your chance to snap a picture from the top of the world as well as see the world-famous Glass Floor.

Not everything is new and shiny this year. I can’t promise that you won’t be seeing anymore Mike & Art videos, but I can promise that we’ll deliver a two-day Iguana immersive experience for you.
