On this week’s episode of Let’s Talk Integration, we welcome special guest, Ed Worthington, IT Director at the Northern Physicians Organization (NPO). NPO is a large physician organization based in Traverse City, Michigan with over 500 physician members from practices of all sizes and specialties. Founded in 1984, NPO’s focus is to align doctor’s processes, communications, best practices, and ideas. As the IT Director, Ed is responsible for overseeing the systems that exchange information in the region, as well as leading interoperability projects for the organization.
Our host, Teresa Fallico, was also joined by Mike St. Jacques, VP of Marketing at iNTERFACEWARE, and the group had a dynamic conversation about care coordination. They focused on the interoperability challenges faced by NPO with regards to the rural community they serve, the operational benefits of overcoming these challenges, and future projects that will further improve care coordination in the area.
