HL7 Interface Technology Survey Reveals Huge Growth for iNTERFACEWARE’s IGUANA.

The IGUANA Integration Engine Experiences Massive Gains in Market Share and as Future Market Leaders.

TORONTO, April 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ – Core Health Technologies, a vendor-neutral solutions provider, published the results of their annual HL7 Interface Technology Survey last week, which reflects a major shift within the healthcare integration market. The results revealed significant growth for iNTERFACEWARE’s IGUANA® integration engine in both overall market share and in confidence as a future market leader.

Based on the perspectives of over 870 CIOs/CTOs/CMIOs, IT Managers and Integration Professionals working in the United States, IGUANA’s market share increased by over 273% in just one year by increasing from 5.7% in 2012 to 21.3% in 2013.

Respondents were also asked which interface engine/tool they believe will be the market leader over the next 2-5 years. Particularly with CIOs, CTOs and CMIOs, IGUANA experienced another significant increase (over 297%) by moving from 4.3% in 2012 to 17.1% in 2013.

For iNTERFACEWARE, the numbers are encouraging but not altogether surprising. “Our sales numbers have indicated a different market picture for quite some time. It’s great to see this reality reflected in a survey like Core Health’s.  It’s pretty clear, IGUANA is no longer healthcare integration’s best kept secret.” explains Eliot Muir, CEO, iNTERFACEWARE.

The major shift in the healthcare integration market may be attributed to a change in expectations of interface engines in general. “IGUANA can build HL7 interfaces much faster than traditional engines but it’s more than that,” explains Muir when asked what is driving this change. “It’s about the ability to do all sorts of non-traditional integration like automating patient reminders or creating custom dashboards. It’s how IGUANA can help build a better business that makes all the difference.”

As the respondents to the HL7 Interface Technology Survey indicated that their integration activities will increase over the next 12 months (CIOs/CMIOs 79.7%, Managers 74.6%, Professionals 63.3%), the market may be in for more significant change.
